If you ask me so, i would answer with a big NO! So, NO, I'm not a pothead. If never tried any form of dope... except music (if you wanna call it 'dope' ;-)). And now I've discoverd a really good weedrapper...
- OK... let me see: You are a metalhead and you don't do drugs... so WHY THE F*** do you listen weedrap?
Answer is also simple: Because the MUSIC is drug enough!
And here is the Master of the Weed: Marsimoto! He is german rap artist Marteria’s alter ego, an alien with a high-pitched voice, originally created as a hommage to US rap artist Madlib’s alter ego Quasimoto. The music is very electronic, in some songs nearly dubstep... not nearly, it IS dubstep in some songs. His DJ is the extremly talented Kid Simius, here a really great liveset of him at the realese party of the new Marsimoto album Grüner Samt (= green velvet, as a synonym for weed). Check him out!
But now back to Marsimoto: This green alien can't only rap about the green stuff, he has also some other topics. On the new album is one song about the suffering of wales in the infamous waleshows (Blaue Lagune) and one song about the more and more coming total surveillance (Alice im WLAN Land... That dancing is a little bit silly, but listen to the music).
For the album, there is also a 30 min. movie made for it. Grüner Samt - Der Film. Here you get some information about some people wich work with Marsimoto (if you understand some german or espaniol ;-)). But there are also some songs of the album in it. And here it is. Wenn du mich so fragst, würde ich mit einem dicken NEIN antworten. Also, NEIN, ich bin kein Kiffer. Ich habe nie irgendeine Art von Drogen ausprobiert... ausser Musik (wenn du sie 'Droge' nennen willst ;-)). Und nun habe ich einen erstklassigen Weedrapper für mich entdeckt...

Einfache Antwort: Weil die MUSIK Droge genug ist!
Und hier ist der Meister des Weeds: Marsimoto! Er ist das Alterego des deutschen Rappers Marteria, ein Alien mit hochgepitchter Stimme, ursprünglich gegründet als Hommage für das Alterego Quasimoto des US-Rappers Madlib. Die Musik ist sehr elektronisch, in manchen Liedern nahe am Dubstep... nicht nahe, es IST Dubstep in manchen Songs. Sein DJ ist der extrem talentierte Kid Simius, hier findet ihr ein großartiges Liveset von ihm bei der Releaseparty zum neuen Marsimoto-Album Grüner Samt. Hörts euch an!
Aber nun zurück zu Marsimoto: Dieses grüne Alien kann nicht nur über das grüne Zeug rappen, er hat auch andere Themen. Auf dem neuen Album ist ein Song über das Leiden der Wale in den berüchtigten Walshows (Blaue Lagune) und einer über die immer mehr und mehr kommende totale Überwachung (Alice im WLAN Land... dieses tanzen ist etwas seltsam, aber es geht um das Lied).
Für das Album wurde auch ein 30 minütiger Film gemacht, in dem man etwas über die Leute aus Marsis Umfeld erfahren kann. Aber es kommen auch ein paar Songs vom Album darin vor. Und hier ist er. Anschauen und vielleicht mögt ihr es ja ;-)
